Learning - It's Never Too Late

This is a post that was originally published in 2017, but it is even more helpful today than back then. I have added a link on the website under the Training Resources page under the Home tab. I have also added a Learning Resources tab that I will be using to give more focused learning opportunities including tutorials on a variety of subjects.
As firefighters we understand the importance of always learning more about our jobs to keep us safe and to help us perform at our very best. Are there things we could learn that may not directly effect our job, but could make things a lot easier and more efficient? Of course! There are a lot of skills that we have either forgotten or never learned that can really enhance our lives and our jobs. With the rise of technology and the importance of us all presenting ourselves in a professional manner, there are things we need to learn in order to be the best we can be. We can't just sit back and hope someone else knows how to do it, we have to be willing to learn it ourselves and it's never too late. The following is a link to a great resource to help you learn the things you want to learn, need to learn, or didn't know you should learn. It is the GCF Learn Free website which teaches everything from simple grammar to computer technology. Check it out and open yourself to the knowledge you deserve.
